Attend Wednesday’s general session to hear industry and state leaders, participate in peer-led roundtables in the afternoon, and choose a breakout session covering technical and customer service topics. Stuart McWhorter

Stuart McWhorter Commissioner-Tennessee Economic & Community Development Stuart McWhorter was sworn in on July 11, 2022 by Governor Bill Lee to serve as commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. The department is responsible for recruiting new businesses and industry to the state, supporting existing companies, expanding economic opportunities across rural Tennessee and boosting the state’s overall economic prosperity.

McWhorter has a diverse background in entrepreneurship, corporate finance and strategic planning. He served as co-founder and chairman of Clayton Associates with over 25 years of experience in entrepreneurship and early-stage investing.
