Cattle and Connection: Riverside Ranch Markets ‘Seedstock Cattle’ Using Twin Lakes Broadband

The ranch, she says, breeds for genetics and markets its bulls as “seedstock” cattle that commercial beef breeders use to improve their own operations. She has been managing operations since the farm rebranded in this direction about four years ago.
The farm typically supports around 400 head of cattle on its 695 acres, and White uses its Twin Lakes broadband to market the animals on social media and to power its website, riversidereal.com.
The site informs visitors on sire lines and farm history and gives a look at everyday operations.
“We have skyrocketed in sales since we did the rebrand, and it’s been amazing,” White says. “We set up a website. We really focused on social media: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, sponsored ads through Facebook, and it has driven business. I stay covered up in phone calls.”

All sales, she says, are private, as opposed to auction situations, so it’s important to be able to attract interested cattle farmers. Facebook-sponsored ads, White says, have been “the golden ticket for us as far as reaching people.”
With high-speed connectivity, agricultural enterprises like White’s can now compete effectively in a digital marketplace, reaching customers well beyond county lines. This transformation proves that with the right infrastructure and support from broadband service providers like Twin Lakes, rural communities in Tennessee can thrive in today’s economy.
