TNBA Member Adams Cable Equipment Recognizes Employees Regularly

TNBA platinum member Adams Cable Equipment, based in Lenexa, Kansas, puts an emphasis on recognizing its employees.

This company specializes in customer-premise

equipment, outside plant material, IT asset disposition, and electronic recycling.

Adams employees have come to expect recognition of birthdays, anniversaries, and work milestones, says Paige Figueroa, executive assistant. The company, she says, makes a point of learning about recurring events in employees’ lives early and gives them internal recognition as well as social media posts to commemorate these milestones. Employees also get crystal awards when recognizing work anniversaries.

“With 60 employees, ACE has made it a priority to recognize employee birthdays and work anniversaries,” Figueroa says. “It is important that they know they are remembered, valued, and appreciated. In addition, we have added what we call ‘milestone anniversaries,’ which are celebrated in five-year increments.”

Employees are pleased with the efforts.

“I know our employees absolutely love it,” she says. “It makes them happy and makes them feel recognized and a part of the team.”

Figueroa adds the company sees positive feedback from customers and vendors on its social media posts. Adams has been handing out these recognitions for some time but added the social media component several years ago. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and not just from within the company. Employees, vendors, and customers compliment Adams on taking the time to recognize its employees.

“Who doesn’t like to see and hear about positive things nowadays especially when the world is full of so much bad news?” Figueroa says.
