BTC Fiber helps provide beds for children in need

n September, BTC Fiber teamed with the Bledsoe County Career and Tech Center to support Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a nonprofit dedicated to providing beds for children who otherwise wouldn’t have a comfortable place to sleep.

In just a few hours, helpers built and delivered 20 complete beds, including frames, mattresses, blankets and pillows, to kids in the community.

“We are truly proud to support such a wonderful organization,” BTC Fiber Administrative Manager Barbara Davis says.

Nationally, Sleep in Heavenly Peace celebrated a major milestone last year when it delivered its 200,000th bed.

The group is dedicated to the belief that all children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. All children ages 3-17 without a bed in a Sleep in Heavenly Peace service area are eligible. Learn more and apply at shpbeds.org/apply.
