Affordable Connectivity Program Ending

Posted: April 17, 2024

As the wind-down of the Affordable Connectivity Program continues, internet service providers are notifying affected customers.

The ACP is a benefit program administered through the FCC designed to ensure low-income households can access vital internet services necessary for things like school, work, and telehealth. Beneficiaries have been receiving a monthly discount of up to $30 per month.

The ACP went into effect in December 2021, and new applications and enrollments ceased on February 7 of this year. April will be the last fully funded month of the ACP.

TNBA members have notified program recipients that their ACP benefits will cease soon. Those notifications have gone out through bill messaging, emails, and social media. Customers who feel they need additional assistance may look into the Lifeline Support Program, via the Lifeline Support website, to see if they qualify.
