Our Members Make Connections by Giving Back

One thing Tennesseans have in common is generosity. And that tradition extends to the organizational level. For instance, TNBA supports its members with our annual conference, which brings together industry peers and suppliers to discuss fiber deployment, the supply chain, future innovations, workforce challenges, and more. We also ensure our government affairs team is present and included in vital conversations at the state and federal levels.

Our quarterly marketing meetings bring together members’ marketing and customer service employees to share ideas, successes, and strategies to tackle the industry’s daily challenges.

In turn, there are so many ways our wonderful members help their customers. Below are just a few of the efforts you’re making to recognize and celebrate customers — it’s just one avenue we’re all using in #ConnectingTN.

  • North Central Telephone Company uses social media to engage with its members. For special occasions and sometimes “just because,” NCTC holds Facebook Live prize drawings where everyone is automatically entered. And throughout the year, NCTC members share photos with the co-op, and the best ones end up in an annual calendar contest. NCTC also highlights local people and businesses through its bimonthly Connection magazine and its local TV channel with weekly stories about the people and events throughout its service area.
  • Highland Telephone Company celebrates its members through community involvement. From sponsoring school esports teams to hosting firefighter appreciation dinners, HTC makes giving back a priority.
  • Each October, as an acknowledgment that its nearly 75 years of service is a direct result of community loyalty, DTC celebrates its members who have had phone service for 50 years or longer. The celebration features a catered meal as a true reflection of DTC’s “Making Meaningful Connections” motto.
