A Day to Be Seen and Heard

Day on the Hill in Nashville is an annual opportunity TNBA members prioritize. As always, this year’s event was a time for movers and shakers in the broadband industry to sit down with lawmakers and strengthen relationships through conversation over breakfast and later in smaller groups.

It’s important our members have a day designated to highlight their work and discuss a connected Tennessee. This year, more than 30 industry representatives attended from 16 broadband providers that serve and maintain over 250,000 broadband connections.

Day on the Hill is also a time for legislators and their staff members to learn about the broadband industry. The fiber splicing demonstrations were particularly educational since few lawmakers and support personnel had the opportunity to go into the field to witness the skills required to build a fiber network.

This event continues to be an important part of state-level policy discussions, and the time our members took to meet with legislators means that once again, our industry’s voices have been heard.
