An exciting schedule ahead!

Carrie headshotAs mornings cool and evenings lengthen, it’s slowly feeling like autumn. If you’re like me, fall can’t come quick enough!

Soon, many of our members will set up booths among the throngs at county fairs. We applaud and encourage those using these opportunities to spread their messages — there’s nothing quite like face-to-face engagement.

Speaking of engagement, October marks National Co-op Month. I’d like to remind everyone to look toward the educational activities and festivals that go along with this month-long observation. Whether your organization hosts, or simply participates in, local events, consider ways to inform your communities about the inclusive, resilient co-op model.

Finally, the KYRBA/TNBA Fall Conference & Supplier Showcase — set for Oct. 10-12 — inches ever closer. Our breakout sessions will cover lots of ground: We’ll talk about putting artificial intelligence tools to work in smart ways; the intersection of AI and cybersecurity; strategic planning; requirements for Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment funding in meeting compliance standards for the Build America, Buy America Act; monetizing networks beyond residential services and unmasking the dark web.

Also during the event, Pioneer Utility Resources will provide head shots of attendees as part of their sponsorship. It will be a great chance for you to update your images, as it’s important to keep those professional portraits current. On that note, I encourage you to remind employees to update their own head shots for 2024.

The conference promises to be a powerful learning experience, so I encourage you to register here: Fall Conference Supplier Showcase.

As always, we’re #ConnectingTN with your help!
