The Tennessee Broadband Association (TNBA) is remembering Highland Telephone Cooperative longtime employee and TNBA Marketing Committee member Charlotte Diann “DeeDee” Stephens, who passed away January 15.
Stephens was the director of human resources at Highland for more than 30 years and was well-respected by her colleagues, community and loved ones. She also served many years on the TNBA Marketing Committee sharing ideas and laughter with the group. “Outside of her commitment at Highland and TNBA, she was an active member of the Paint Rock Baptist Church, where she directed the youth choir. Stephens also served in numerous leadership roles with her local chamber of commerce and several charities.
“Diann will be greatly missed by her Highland family,” CEO Mark Patterson says. “Her heart was always full of love and compassion for everyone, and her role as HR manager gave her an opportunity to put that into action. She was always willing to go that extra mile, not only for Highland employees, but she also worked with the community on charity and fundraising projects, which also showed her love for others.”
