Over the past decade, the broadband industry has seen a host of changes. From consumer demands to technological advancements, including 10 Gigabits per second (Gbps) service, telecommunications continues to evolve with the times.
To best prepare for the future, Tennessee Broadband Association (TNBA) leaders and board members will shift roles and take on new appointments to continue to serve members.
- WK&T and Ardmore Telephone Company CEO Trevor Bonnstetter will represent the TNBA as part of the government affairs team.
WK&T and Ardmore Telephone Company COO Karen Furman will serve on the TNBA Board of Directors.
- Knowles has been appointed to the Tennessee Digital Opportunity Advisory Board, a committee organized by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.
Twin Lakes CEO Jonathan West was elected to serve as the NTCA board member representing the Southeast Region. West has previously served on the NTCA PAC board, the government affairs committee and several ad hoc committees to address the challenges and opportunities faced by the telecommunications industry.
“I’m incredibly pleased Tennessee has representation on the NTCA board,” Knowles says. “West will do a fantastic job. They couldn’t have selected a better person for the position, and he’ll be a great addition for Tennessee and the NTCA.”
