Power & Tel Modernizes with New Headquarters in Piperton

New 250,000-square-foot facility accommodates future growth

This year opened with a brand-new corporate headquarters for Power & Tel, a leading communications supplier and distributor.

The Tennessee Broadband Association member opened their new 250,000-square-foot facility on January 1 in Piperton, just outside of Memphis. Power & Tel has called the greater Memphis area home for more than 50 years, but the new state-of-the-art facility was designed to accommodate future growth and technological advancement.

“Expanding our corporate headquarters and overall footprint is a major indicator of our company’s progress since our founding more than 50 years ago,” says Power & Tel Chief Executive Officer Jennifer Sims. ”Our new campus represents the strong foundation we’ve built and where we’re planning to go in the future.”

The new facility sits on 28 acres and is large enough to accommodate the company’s growing workforce and customer base. It houses most of the company’s office staff as well as its sales department. The Tennessee headquarters will also serve as the company’s primary distribution hub.

The concept for the new facility began more than two years ago. Its custom design allows Power & Tel to utilize the space for maximum efficiency. The building is equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting, an innovative and sustainable air filtration system, and charging ports for electric vehicles.

“Our ultimate goal was to create a facility to serve our expanding presence in the communication technology space,” Sims says. “As we continue to grow, pursue new partnerships and enter new markets, our headquarters will be able to amply accommodate that growth.”

Power & Tel also has offices throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The previous Power & Tel facility will be donated to Memphis-based nonprofits and community businesses.
