Strength in numbers

Extending broadband service to all rural Americans is not a solo act. It takes partnerships. It requires building coalitions across disciplines and geography.

The most important partnership we have is with the Tennessee General Assembly. Through the legislative process, and programs such as the Broadband Accessibility Grants, we are working together to improve the quality of life for people across our great state.

Our member broadband providers work together on projects to benefit all the communities they serve. For example, we jointly own and operate a 5,000-mile fiber network known as iRis Transport that carries internet traffic across Tennessee and parts of adjacent states.

We are also members of NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association, speaking with a common voice before Congress and the FCC on issues that impact the people of Tennessee. There is strength in numbers!
