NTCA Stresses Commitment To Working With New Administration On Broadband Issues

Posted: December 22, 2016

Shirley Bloomfield, CEO of NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association, wrote in a recent article that small broadband providers are committed to working with president-elect Donald Trump’s administration to solve rural broadband challenges.

“We look forward to working with the Trump administration and Congress to harness the enthusiasm and engagement of the rural voters who cast ballots in this election,” Bloomfield wrote in her blog on ntca.org, “and to build upon past successes to find innovative solutions to our nation’s broadband challenges so that every American—rural and urban—will have access to robust and affordable broadband.”

Indeed, a change in administration not only brings new leadership to the White House, but also results in new faces in key positions throughout the federal government. This creates new challenges for small, rural and independent telecommunications companies who must work to educate the new leadership on the progress and the concerns of our companies. Through NTCA, we have a collective voice that keeps us at the table in D.C.
