Posted: April 29, 2016

The TTA Annual Meeting and Convention is right around the corner, coming up June 6-8 at the Cool Springs Marriott Hotel in Franklin.

This year’s conference will feature a session from former Major League pitcher David Weathers, a look at computer intrusion threats from FBI Agent Scott Augenbaum, the always-anticipated vendor showcase and a golf tournament at Vanderbilt Legends Golf Course.

Notable sessions on this year’s agenda include an update on the USF changes from JSI, the results of the Tennessee ECD Broadband Assessment by ECD Commissioner Randy Boyd and a briefing on configuring digital home solutions for gigabit performance.

New to the agenda this year will be Peer Group Round Tables on Tuesday afternoon, dividing attendees into five categories to hone in on topics specific to each area of the industry. The five group sessions include:

  • CEO/General Managers
  • Plant Operations
  • IT, Networking, Technology Group
  • Marketing, Sales, Customer Service
  • Accounting, HR

A moderator will throw out some topics and then group members will dive into their issues. “I’ve been in a number of sessions like that over the years and they always turn out to be very helpful,” says TTA Executive Director Levoy Knowles.
